AgeImmune was born out of real clinical need, not market trends.
More than 15 years ago, my husband, Dr. Alex Kanevsky, began practicing functional medicine. As his patient base grew, one reality became clear very quickly: meaningful clinical progress often required targeted, consistent nutritional support.
At the time, I was working alongside him at Atlant Health, and together we did what most clinicians do, we researched and partnered with reputable supplement companies. These were well-known brands with strong reviews and solid reputations, and they were not inexpensive. We signed contracts with several of them and began offering their products to our patients.
However, it soon became apparent that something was missing.
To adequately support a single patient, Dr. Kanevsky often had to recommend multiple separate products just to cover foundational needs. There were very few formulations that combined essential nutrients in a thoughtful, clinically practical way. Protocols became increasingly complex, not because patients needed more, but because the products themselves were fragmented.
That was the moment I suggested a different approach: instead of trying to assemble solutions from dozens of bottles, why not create a small line of truly essential, well-designed formulas?
We did not have the resources to build an expansive supplement catalog, but we could focus on foundations. Vitamin B complexes, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, antioxidants, and, very importantly, formulas to support mental and emotional resilience, which even then was becoming a growing concern.
Built With Direct Patient Feedback
One advantage we had, which most supplement companies do not, was direct, continuous feedback from real patients.
Over time, we observed:
- Which vitamins produced noticeable benefits and which did not
- Which combinations caused unwanted side effects
- Which formulas were gentle—or harsh—on the digestive system
- What time of day patients preferred taking their supplements
- Which products absorbed well and which clearly did not
This was not theoretical research, it was lived clinical experience.
We carefully analyzed this information and used it to guide our formulations. The goal was not to create “stronger” supplements, but smarter ones, formulas that people could actually tolerate, absorb, and maintain consistently.
A Non-Negotiable Commitment to Clean Formulation
As Dr. Kanevsky continued working with patients, he noticed a troubling pattern: many individuals with persistent gastrointestinal symptoms had no clear explanation despite extensive conventional testing.
In reviewing patient histories, one factor repeatedly stood out, cumulative exposure to excipients found in foods, medications, and supplements.
Ingredients such as magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide are widely used as lubricants and flow agents in manufacturing. While often considered inert, Dr. Kanevsky saw enough cases to question their long-term impact, particularly in sensitive individuals and in those consuming multiple supplements daily.
From that point on, we made a firm decision: AgeImmune products would be formulated without lubricants, flow agents, or unnecessary preservatives.
This decision shaped everything that followed.
Choosing the Harder Path in Manufacturing
Eliminating these additives was not simple.
Most laboratories rely on flow agents to keep production efficient. With lubricants, a single encapsulation machine can run uninterrupted for thousands of bottles in one day. Without them, the powder blend sticks to equipment, forcing frequent stops, cleanings, and restarts.
This dramatically increases time, labor, and cost.
Many laboratories declined to work with us for this reason alone.
We remained persistent, and eventually partnered with two laboratories willing to meet our standards. To this day, that commitment remains central to how our products are made.
Growing Without Compromising Our Principles
Since those early days, AgeImmune has grown significantly. Our product line has expanded, but our original promise has not changed.
We continue to:
- Avoid unnecessary additives
- Formulate based on clinical logic and real-world feedback
- Monitor customer experiences through reviews and direct communication
- Adapt formulations to address the evolving challenges people face today
AgeImmune exists because we believed patients deserved cleaner, more intentional supplements—designed with the same care we would expect for our own family.
