AgeImmune is partnering with a certified GMP laboratory in New Brunswick, NJ to offer flow-agents and
lubricants free supplements to its customers.
According to recent reports, the demand for supplements free of flow agents and lubricants is on the
rise. The reason behind this boils down to the high incidence of digestive problems of unknown origin
and other vague symptoms after taking supplements with magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. This
rise of demand is constant despite the relatively higher price of flow agent-free supplements compared
to conventional products. It is important to note that some of these side effects are only significant
when consumption exceeds certain amounts; however, since these flow agents are used as a part of
processed foods, the overall consumption might be larger than we think.
Together with its encapsulation partners AgeImmune has worked out a strategy to offer clean
supplements at affordable pricing. Traditionally, the speed of encapsulating is higher when flow agents
are present, thus laboratories prefer to use them. But Ageimmune is proud to announce that the
company has found partners that share the vision and are willing to work on creating vitamins and
supplements that contain no magnesium stearate or silica.
“Specific challenge lies in encapsulation of herbs like turmeric, boswellia or berberine,” says Natalie
Weinberg, the owner of Age Immune LLC and AgeImmune brand, “the raw material is extremely sticky
and thick, and laboratories must stop the encapsulation process to clean the machinery rather often.
This adds time and cost of manpower to the manufacturing process.”
AgeImmune interviewed multiple labs before they found the one that was able to work on company’s
specific terms. “Together we are very proud to offer products of a rare kind that contain no ingredients
that have nothing to do with supplementation. We are offering berberine with inulin for better
absorption, one of the cleanest products on the market, as well as turmeric and boswellia complex with
black pepper. Both formulas are a challenge to encapsulate. But why offer just another herbal
supplement with magnesium stearate to the already saturated market of supplements when there is a
possibility of inception of a clean encapsulation practice and positioning AgeImmune Brand as a
magnesium stearate free brand,” Weinberg continues.
When asked about supply chain difficulties, Natalie admits a challenge however confirms that the
company has not raised prices and is planning to keep them stable at least this year.
